She Ain’t Just Spinning Her Wheels

The Sweet Roast really likes riding her bike. I mean she REALLY likes it. She’s done it long enough now that it’s not only become a routine, but it’s now a very regular part of her day. I currently drive to work most days getting to the office around 8:00 AM. I normally get a start to my task-filled day and by 9:00 AM there’s a rap at the office window which tells me Sweet Roast has arrived and is waiting for me to hold the office door open for her. She’ll typically drive home for lunch, unless I’m off to a lunch meeting which is when she’ll bike home and back to work. By 4:00 PM she’s ready to call it a day and she’ll bike home. The odd evening we’ll go for a walk, which is me on foot, Sweet Roast on her bike. I have to admit I really like seeing her cycling so much. Although my power walking has been reduced, I have not regained any of the weight I lost, which makes me happy. My next plan is to get into some light jogging, but so far I haven’t figured out how to fit it into my days. I’m considering a light jog with Sweet Roast on her bike the odd evening when the weather warms up then I’ll find some way to turn that into a routine. Until then, I think we are both getting what we need in the right dosage as to not wear ourselves out and still see some benefits. All we need to do is fine tune a little for now.
